First, after you extract all the files you will get a Brink.Iso file, extract it or mount it, your choice.

I am not very sure if this is a problem with game or a repack, but try avoiding using of mouse at the start while selecting character, my game freezed, just select "Yes/No" option via Keyboard.

After game starts, their is no such problem.
